First hours

Before you press start

• Confirm the install finished. Do not launch a half download.
• Plug into Ethernet if you can. Day-one patches are common.
• Check free space again after the patch, not only before preload.
• Set brightness / HDR from a menu, not from a story scene.

The first session

• Leave difficulty and accessibility on defaults until you know the feel.
• Do not hunt guides that spoil missions. This site will not list them.
• If the console overheats or the fan spikes, stop and give it air.

What to ignore on night one

Leaked maps, money routes, and “do this first” videos. None of that is an official requirement.
