GTA 6 preload

Dates

• Preload opens November 12, 2026, local midnight
• Physical code-in-box in stores November 12, 2026. Support: boxes ship or pick up from November 12. Redeem the code when it arrives, then download.
• Game unlocks November 19, 2026
• PC Not announced

Local midnight follows the region on your store account. Changing the console clock does not move it.

PlayStation: check the account country in Account Management. That country cannot be changed later. A box code must match it. PlayStation Support.

November 12 night

1. Read free space in Settings. How.
2. Redeem the box code if the box is in hand.
3. Start the download from the library if you already bought digital.
4. PS5: Control Center → Downloads/Uploads to watch progress. PlayStation Support
5. Redeem the GTA+ month only if the purchase was digital before November 20. It auto-renews. Editions.
6. Leave the console connected. PS5 Rest Mode: Settings → System → Power Saving → Features Available in Rest Mode → Stay Connected to the Internet, then Automatic Updates → Auto-Download. Do not unplug the power cable.

Xbox download queue: Home → My games & apps → Queue. Xbox Support.

Preload follows the store region on the account, not a clock you set by hand. Xbox time/region: Settings → System → Time / Language & location. Xbox Support.

Redeem a box code

PS5: PlayStation Store → Redeem Code → 12-character code on the same region as the box.

Xbox: Xbox button → Store → Redeem → 25-character code on the account that should own the game.

Digital purchases: open that console's library / downloads on November 12. The game stays locked until November 19.

Digital vs box

• Digital Preload November 12 if already purchased. Play November 19. No disc.
• Physical (code in box) Redeem the code, then download. Boxes start November 12. Play November 19. No disc.

Standard and Ultimate unlock at the same time.
